the sunlight marches across the shoreline in silver bursts.
lines of light drifting towards the shining sands,

chasing each other,
sometimes racing across the golden shallows.

the rocks, glowing, golden,
swallow the light whole
and all about sparkles and sizzles
with late afternoon sunshine.

boats, silhouetted against the setting sun,
bob about in the waters glare
and I squint through lazy leaves

hanging from black boughs.
For a moment I see a silver lode,
a jewellers window,
all broaches, pendants and rings
,
silver, gold, diamonds ablaze with light.

I am mesmerised.
my soul sighs
,
letting go of it's collection of dark thoughts,
pausing in the peace and light.
I am home.

gentle goes the day.
softly, lightly,
dancing.
gentle sighs my soul.
humming, laughing,
singing.
gentle life,
baby steps,
waking to hope,
walking free.
Every dark cloud
has the sun above.
Life can be surprising,
beautiful,
beguiling.
gently comes this day
and I will rest
in this space,
this peace.
