I am torn.
a heaviness beyond anything past
has gripped me
a vice that isolates me
from reality.
I am caught,
a maelstrom of thoughts,
wild,
errant,
destructive
and I am living
minute by minute,
waiting for the end
of the matter.
Nowhere to turn,
no arms to comfort,
the sadness hangs
heavy
on my face.
